You'll collaborate closely with clients and communities to design sustainable, cost-effective systems that contribute to cleaner environments and healthier communities. This isn't just a job, it's a chance to drive meaningful changes in the waste industry and build a legacy of sustainability.</p> <p>In the role of Environmental EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist Senior Engineers in environmental remediation projects that include remediation design and implementation</p> </li><li> <p>Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Complete projects that have clear, specified objectives and limited variables</p> </li><li> <p>Perform administrative duties associated with project management for environmental remediation projects</p> </li><li> <p>Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects</p> </li><li> <p>Assist senior engineers in environmental remediation projects involving feasibility studies, pre-design investigations, remedial design, remedial action and post construction activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Interpret data and summarize it in tables, charts, and/or maps.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete duties requiring field work and travel as needed</p> </li><li> <p>A valid driver's license is required for this role</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> </li><li> <p>40-hour HAZWOPER training is strongly preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Master's degree in environmental engineering or closely related Engineering field</p> </li><li> <p>EIT or the ability to obtain. Candidates hired without their EIT with be titled "Environmental Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT license for career progression</p> </li><li> <p>10-hour OSHA training is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and GIS experience</p> </li><li> <p>Professional experience with engineering internships is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Local candidates preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Strong commitment to safety.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding sampling task in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures.)</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related Engineering field </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills </li><li>An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must </li></ul> <p>What We Believe</p> <p>HDR is our company.
