<p>Advertised Position Title:</p> <p>FWS Student - Office Assistant at Dental Hygiene (Federal Work-Study)</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>This position is open exclusively to current Students at Owens Community College who are eligible for Federal Work-Study.</p> <p>(If you're unsure of your eligibility, please contact studentemployment@owens.edu.)</p> <p>Dental Hygiene Office Assistants work to maintain an efficient and effective process by utilizing the electronic dental record and patient management system, student and patient paperwork, answering telephones, and scheduling appointments for the dental clinic.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Use a computer system to update electronic dental record and patient management system </li><li>Answering telephone calls and schedule appointments for the dental clinic </li><li>Multiple tasks related to data entry </li><li>Unpacking and storing clinic supplies </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Confidentiality and Organization </li><li>Communication, including proper phone etiquette </li><li>Basic computer skills </li><li>Customer service and confidentiality </li><li>Ability to file alphabetically </li></ul> <p>Other Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Dependable, punctual, friendly </li><li>Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Must be able to stand or sit for filing charts, and lift 20-30 pound boxes </li><li>Must be able to climb stairs. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education / Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li></ul> <p>Job Classification:</p> <p>Student Worker</p> <p>Duty Days:</p> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>Grant Funded Position:</p> <p>FLSA Status:</p> <p>United States of America (Non-Exempt)</p> <p>Pay Basis:</p> <p>Hourly</p> <p>Hiring Range</p> <p>$10.45-$12.50</p> <p>Retirement System:</p> <p>SERS - SERS (Retirement System Classification)</p>
