The Perimeter Security Engineering Manager plays a key role in our infrastructure team and broader technology organization.</p> <p>The Perimeter Security Engineering Manager will work with infrastructure leaders and engineers, Enterprise Architects, Information Security teams, banking system owners, and other technology stakeholders to support and deliver mission-critical services. You will cultivate partnerships with various technology teams and enterprise information security to evolve our capabilities in areas like cloud enablement, system resiliency, and automation. Your team will design, develop, configure, test, and support technology solutions in support of divisional and enterprise objectives and key results (OKR).</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the team in support of critical business functions to meet organizational objectives. </li><li>Guide the team toward a journey to cloud principles and cloud-based infrastructure solutions. </li><li>Cultivate relationships with all stakeholders including business, technology, risk, supply chain and operations. </li><li>Planning the security arrangements for Zions Firewall and F5 infrastructure and other systems. </li><li>Identifying and defining the requirements of the overall security of the Perimeter, F5 and Firewall systems </li><li>Determining the latest technologies and processes that improve the overall security of the Firewall and F5 systems. </li><li>Using industry-standard analysis criteria to test the security level. </li><li>Ensure the uptime and availability of the enterprise firewall and application delivery infrastructure through proactive management of suppliers, hardware, software, monitoring systems and datacenter operations. </li><li>Ensure the team has the needed technical skills, competencies, business domain expertise, process knowledge, industry sector knowledge, and capacity to achieve organizational goals and objectives. </li><li>Manage vendor relationships, as needed, ensuring the vendors' performance and contributions align with organizational objectives and strategy. </li><li>Manage the total cost of ownership of the team including hardware, software, FTE and contractors, and professional services (responsible for P&L of cost center). </li><li>Serve as Product Owner/Project Manager (POPM) through Agile/Kanban-style value delivery system. </li><li>Other duties as assigned (including supporting On-call activities and change management responsibilities outside of normal business hours). </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>6+ years' experience in infrastructure perimeter security domain including interacting with relevant vendors (Palo Alto, F5). </li><li>Must have working knowledge and understanding of Perimeter Security, F5 and firewall technologies including common protocols and associated ports, IP subnetting, routing and Remote access VPN technologies. </li><li>Technical familiarity with networking concepts, architectures, and tools, including network traffic analysis, proxies, functionality of network switches, load balancers, routers and firewalls required. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or other related degree. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications. </li><li>Professional Certifications (ex. CompTIA Network+, CCNA, etc.) are highly desired. </li><li>Familiarity with cloud ready and cloud native contexts, both using on-prem technologies as well as public cloud service (e.g. Azure, AWS, IBM, GCP) is a plus. </li><li>Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to communicate effectively with senior business and technical management, vendors, and team members. </li><li>Proven ability to identify, analyze and solve perimeter security connectivity problems through close attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent leadership, management, and organizational skills. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of financial/banking systems is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Location:</p> <p>Zions Technology Center - 7860 South Bingham Junction Blvd, Midvale, UT 84047</p> <p>The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
