This role involves managing IT projects, overseeing third-party vendors, implementing new technologies, and providing hands-on training for educators, government staff, and public service teams. The ideal candidate will ensure that technology solutions are efficiently deployed, secure, and effectively utilized across education and municipal environments.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Education, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). </li><li>Experience managing IT projects in education and/or municipal government settings. </li><li>Strong knowledge of K-12 EdTech tools (Google Workspace for Education, Apple, Chrome, and Windows device management solutions, interactive projection systems, and sound systems, etc.). </li><li>Familiarity with municipal IT systems, including ERP, GIS, public safety technology, records management software, and MS Office 365. </li><li>Proven ability to train and support educators and government employees in technology use. </li><li>Experience managing third-party IT vendors, including contract negotiation and performance oversight. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Hands-on experience with networking, device management, and IT troubleshooting. </li><li>Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements for schools and local governments. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Certifications in IT project management (PMP, Agile, ITIL) or educational technology. </li><li>Familiarity with public-sector procurement processes and grant-funded IT initiatives. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment serving multiple stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed </li><li>Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish and Portuguese, are highly desirable </li><li>Candidates should have a passion for working with students, families, and colleagues </li><li>Candidates must be flexible and collaborative </li><li>Candidates must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, supportive environment that nurtures student growth </li><li>Candidates must be organized and able to meet ongoing, time-sensitive deadlines for work production </li></ul> <p>Alternative degrees/experience may be substituted for the above at the discretion of the Superintendent if such a substitution brings a strong candidate forward.</p> <p>TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED</p> <ul> <li>Phone, intercom, personal computer and software applications as outlined above, scanner, copy machine, calculator, camera, printers and fax machine. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB (not limited to)</p> <p>Project Management (K-12 & Municipal IT):</p> <ul> <li>Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects for schools and municipal departments, ensuring timely and efficient implementation. </li><li>Work with school administrators, educators, government leaders, and IT teams to align technology initiatives with educational and public service goals. </li><li>Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for IT projects. </li><li>Oversee the deployment of hardware, software, and networking solutions in schools and government offices. </li><li>Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and data privacy regulations (FERPA, COPPA, HIPAA, etc.). </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to project rollouts. </li></ul> <p>Vendor & Contract Management:</p> <ul> <li>Identify, evaluate, and manage third-party vendors providing IT services, software, and infrastructure. </li><li>Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality solutions. </li><li>Monitor vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service expectations. </li><li>Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and vendors, escalating issues as needed. </li><li>Coordinate with vendors to schedule maintenance, upgrades, and support for IT systems. </li><li>Ensure vendors meet security, compliance, and data protection standards. </li></ul> <p>Training & Support:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and deliver hands-on training for teachers, municipal employees, and public officials on IT systems and best practices. </li><li>Provide ongoing technical support and coaching to improve digital literacy and system adoption. </li><li>Create user-friendly training materials, guides, and documentation for both school and government users. </li><li>Assist the schools and municipal departments with IT transitions, including software upgrades and process automation. </li></ul> <p>Technology Integration & Innovation:</p> <ul> <li>Help educators integrate technology into the curriculum to enhance learning experiences. </li><li>Support government departments in implementing digital solutions for public services. </li><li>Research and recommend new EdTech and GovTech tools that improve efficiency and accessibility. </li><li>Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure to support schools and municipal offices. </li><li>Promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices among educators and municipal staff. </li></ul> <p>The information contained in
