<p>This part time job includes assisting IT and Marketing & Communications with ensuring the university's external-facing website, weber.edu, is accessible. This will involve auditing websites to see if they meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards using an existing online toolkit which will be made available to the person hired into this role. The ideal candidate will have a combination of web accessibility knowledge, HTML web coding experience, and a sense for web design best practices. Candidates may also be asked to remediate inaccessible web pages, depending on experience and growth in the role.</p> <p>This job is a great opportunity to get experience in the field. Days and hours are flexible to work around your class schedule. You must be available to work 12-20 hours per week.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Basic understanding website accessibility guidelines.</p> <p>Basic understanding of HTML.</p> <p>Good customer service skills.</p> <p>Ability to self-manage and keep track of multiple projects.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) training.</p> <p>Previous experience with a content management system (experience with Weber State's Site Manager content management system is a plus).</p> <p>Advanced HTML and CSS.</p> <p>Basic Javascript and responsive web design knowledge.</p> <p>Background Check?
