<p>Palace Entertainment is a leading leisure park operator in the United States and Australia overseeing more than 25 entertainment venues, hotels and educational venues across 11 different states.</p> <p>Palace Entertainment owns and operates some of the country's largest and most prestigious venues including: National Historic Landmark, Kennywood Park, America's Oldest Amusement Park, Lake Compounce, the world's first ever Cartoon Network Hotel, Best Family Theme Park Dutch Wonderland and a variety of other family-friendly parks and campgrounds throughout the United States.</p> <p>Palace Entertainment is a subsidiary of Parques Reunidos, one of the leading global operators, with more than 60 different assets (theme parks, zoos and marine parks, water parks and other attractions), spread out over various countries across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Australia.</p> <p>Painters are primarily responsible for corrosion control and painting of all aspects of Lake Compounce and its associated facilities, including rides, structures, and facilities.</p> <p>We are currently looking for a:</p> <p>Lake Compounce - Full-time Painter</p> <p>Roles & Responsibilities:</p> <p>Painters are primarily responsible for corrosion control and painting of all aspects of Lake Compounce and its associated facilities, including rides, structures, and facilities.</p> <p>Roles & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Participate in projects to paint Park attractions, signs, buildings, and structures</p> </li><li> <p>Provide expert workmanship in a timely manner to meet established deadlines</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and paint a variety of surface types including wood, fiberglass, metal, pavement, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Safely and efficiently use appropriate tools and materials for each painting project</p> </li><li> <p>Recommend and use the best painting materials available to achieve long-term results</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with preparing project material and labor cost estimates; order materials, when needed</p> </li><li> <p>Routinely inspect surface coatings of structures and facilities and provide recommendations to leadership for decisions related to corrosion control and painting upkeep</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guests</p> </li><li> <p>Actively maintain safety and cleanliness standards in all shop and work areas</p> </li><li> <p>Assist all other Maintenance and trades team members with completing maintenance projects</p> </li><li> <p>Perform duties in other areas or departments of the park, as requested</p> </li><li> <p>All other duties and projects assigned by Maintenance or Park leadership</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Equivalent work experience will also be considered</p> </li><li> <p>Vocational or Trade School training is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>3-5 years of previous painting experience highly desired; Vocational training or comparable training may be considered in lieu of experience.</p> </li></ul> <p>Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English;
