<p>Why Join BRCC? </p> <p>Baton Rouge Community College offers a collaborative work environment, a commitment to employee development, and the opportunity to support the mission of student success through strong institutional operations.</p> <p>Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of a full-time Laborer located within the Facilities Services Division to perform basic maintenance tasks throughout BRCC's campus.</p> <p>No experience or training is required.</p> <p>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Performs basic maintenance tasks such as replacing ceiling tiles, changing light bulbs, cleaning mechanical spaces, assisting with minor repairs, clearing debris, and supporting routine building upkeep. </li><li>Assists with outdoor work including trash removal, light landscaping, pressure washing, walkway cleaning, and maintaining exterior campus areas. </li><li>Moves furniture, equipment, and materials; assists with event setups; delivers supplies across departments; and supports work requiring physical labor. </li><li>Follows safety procedures, uses proper PPE, reports hazards, and maintains clean, safe work areas. </li><li>Other Duties as Assigned </li><li>Provides additional labor support to maintenance staff as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operations. </li></ul> <p>Position-Specific Details:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Appointment Type:  Probationary appointment with a one-year agency probationary period.
