<p>Salary:</p> <p>$19.20 - $19.20</p> <p>Department:</p> <p>Culture & Recreation, Recreation</p> <p>Division:</p> <p>Aquatics</p> <p>FLSA:</p> <p>Non-Exempt</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Summer Seasonal Position</p> <p>Must be 16 years old by hire date.</p> <p>$500 BONUS</p> <p>$250 ON FIRST CHECK AND $250 AFTER THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE SUMMER SEASONAL ASSIGNMENT</p> <p>In this role, you will monitor activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers</p> <p>Examples of Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid. </li><li>Maintains order in swimming areas. </li><li>Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe areas. Inspects facilities for cleanliness. </li><li>Cleans and refills swimming pool. </li><li>Determines chlorine content and pH value of water with water testing kit. </li><li>Conducts or officiates swimming meets. </li><li>Gives swimming instructions. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>16 years of age by start date.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid StarGuard Lifeguard Certification or completion of the class before start date.
