<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Nazareth Hospital, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a pool Transporter to join our Central Transport Team.</p> <p>Job Title: Transporter</p> <p>Time Type: Pool as needed</p> <p>Shift: Varied Shifts</p> <p>Purpose:</p> <p>To transport patients and equipment safety throughout the Nazareth Hospital campus.</p> <p>As a Transporter you will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Follow 2 patient ID policies remembering to never remove patient from floor without ID wrist band</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates ability to recognize and communicate nurse, physician and/or technologist a change in patient's condition</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate good judgment in selecting proper mode of communication when interacting with various populations served (pediatric, adult, geriatric, etc.); introducing self to patient and telling them where they are going</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in providing patient/comfort, privacy and confidentiality</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate good judgment in selecting proper mode of "transportation".</p> </li><li> <p>Position patients properly taking into account patient impairment, skin conditions, pain, size, age, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to perform CPR and emergency measures</p> </li><li> <p>Follow any patient safety alerts, especially fall precautions</p> </li><li> <p>Apply brakes on wheelchair and stretchers whenever assisting a transfer or leaving patient</p> </li><li> <p>Never leave patient alone on stretcher with side rails down.</p> </li><li> <p>Move wheelchair footrests and legs away before patient stands</p> </li><li> <p>Properly complete a hand off communication with every transport ("ticket to ride"/passport), including alerting receiving staff of patient's arrival</p> </li><li> <p>Obtain assistance when needed</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school graduate or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>CPR (BLS) certified.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to walk without assistance, ability to lift patients, ability to work with people effectively, ability to follow oral and written instructions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work/Life balance with flexible schedules.</p> </li><li> <p>Free onsite parking.</p> </li><li> <p>Our mission and core values are what drive each member of Trinity Health to support each other, communicate openly and respectfully while embracing a culture that nurtures a healing, safe environment for all.</p> </li><li> <p>Referral Rewards Program</p> </li></ul> <p>Nazareth Hospital serves Northeast Philadelphia and the surrounding region.
