Dearborn, MI 48128, is seeking a Special Education Para Educator and one on one Para Educators. The Dearborn Academy's mission is to serve a multicultural community through individualized, focused instruction allowing each student to achieve academic excellence and exhibit social responsibility.</p> <p>Provide instructional support to students and assist teacher in the educational process of all students in both instructional and non-instructional activities.</p> <p>Special Education Para Educators: Ability to assist the special education teacher in working directly with children (if required) in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.</p> <p>Position Specific Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform duties under the direct supervision of the assigned general education teachers. </li><li>Assist students with activities as directed by the teacher(s). </li><li>Assist individual students in the classroom, as well as tutor students individually. </li><li>Assist and support the student's instructional processes as planned by the supervising teacher(s) and gather and record data. </li><li>Other related duties as assigned by the Principal. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Completion of one of the following:</p> <ul> <li>At least two years of study at an institute of higher education, or </li><li>An associate or higher degree; or </li><li>Meet No Child Left Behind requirement: Pass Work Keys Test </li></ul> <p>Communication Skills</p> <p>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, students, staff and the general public consistent with the duties of this position.</p> <p>Satisfactory criminal background check and unprofessional conduct check as required by School Safety Legislation conduct check as required by School Safety Legislation</p> <p>Please email resumes to hr@aimsus.com.</p>
