<p>Conducts intake and trauma assessments, Autism evaluations, and outpatient therapy sessions. Coordinates care for clients in need of multiple services including with other service providers.</p> <p>Major Duties</p> <ul> <li>Provides tailored outpatient therapy sessions and uses evidence-based techniques and interventions. Creates detailed and individualized treatment plans. Maintains accurate and confidential client records and other relevant documentation. </li><li>Conducts comprehensive assessments to better understand the clients' mental health, family concerns, and relevant factors that may impact the client or family. </li><li>Collaborates with healthcare providers to coordinate care through meetings, emails, and phone calls. </li><li>Stays informed about the latest research, therapeutic techniques, and ethical standards in social work. Participates in training and professional development activities to further educational and professional development. </li><li>Conducts comprehensive trauma assessments and Autism evaluations for clients and provides a detailed written report. </li><li>Provides psychoeducation and training for relevant individuals. </li><li>Provides clinical supervision to graduate trainees. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution. </li><li>One year's relevant experience. </li><li>Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Experience in trauma assessment and treatment, as well as experience in the assessment and treatment of traumatized children and youth. </li><li>Licensure as Master-level Social Worker (LLMSW or LMSW) in the State of Michigan or License Psychologist/Counselor. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <ul> <li>External applicants should use the WMU - Application. </li><li>Internal applicants should use the WMU - Internal Application. </li></ul> <p>Additional Position Information</p> <ul> <li>Terminal appointment ends 06/30/2026 with a potential of being renewed. </li><li>Staff Compensation System pay grades and rates are available at: https://wmich.edu/hr/staffcompensation </li><li>Western Michigan University offers generous benefits to its employees including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, retirement, and tuition discount for the employee and tuition remission for eligible dependents.
