<p>DEPARTMENT: Purchasing</p> <p>JOB TITLE: Supply Chain and Technical Leader</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Director of Manufacturing</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure competitive terms and pricing for the organization </li><li>Evaluate and select new suppliers based on price, quality and delivery, as well as qualify new raw material types and streams </li><li>Analyze and forecast product demand to ensure optimal inventory levels </li><li>Develop and implement procurement strategy to reduce costs and streamline operations </li><li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as production and sales </li><li>Manage and monitor purchase orders, ensuring timely receipt of materials </li><li>Implement and maintain procurement policies that align with regulatory standards and industry best practices </li><li>Purchase of materials such as resin, compounds, finishes, latex, foam, etc., to support Fiber, Fabric and Finishing departments </li><li>Schedule Fiber with MRP system and other tools to analyze demand from sales orders and forecast </li><li>Review COA's for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements </li><li>Assist day to day Fiber operations </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Must possess solid analytical and forecasting skills </li><li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress </li><li>Excellent verbal, telephone, and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to work well in a team environment </li><li>Good interpersonal skills </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience </li><li>Excellent math, communication and analytical skills </li><li>Contract negotiation and buying experience required </li><li>Extrusion experience required </li></ul>
