<p>Overview</p> <p>Electrical maintenance of steel mill equipment.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshooting electrical equipment problems. </li><li>Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, project work and installation of electrical equipment. </li><li>Assist mechanics and operators with daily maintenance and ensure work is done safely. </li><li>Electrical equipment includes but is not limited to: Control systems (PLC's), motors and drives (VFD's), lighting, and power distribution. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>At least 1 year working as an electrician or technician in an industrial environment. </li><li>Experienced in safely working on systems up to 480V. </li><li>Basic knowledge of power distribution, AC motors, and motor control. </li><li>Experience in complex relay control circuits and/or PLC's. </li><li>Skilled at troubleshooting, problem solving, and installation of electrical equipment. </li><li>At least 5 years of hands on experience with the equipment described above in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>At least 5 years working as an electrician or technician in an industrial environment preferred. </li><li>Experienced in safely working on systems up to and including 345kV preferred. </li><li>Good working knowledge and understanding of Allen Bradley or GE PLC's and drives preferred. </li><li>Applicant must possess at least one of the following: </li><li>Electrical/industrial technology certificate or degree </li><li>Technical military training related to electrical theory and maintenance </li></ul> <p>Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.</p>
