<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Responsible for the administrative and technical management of specific areas of the CAMC labs.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure timely, accurate and efficient test reporting via appropriate instrument, computer system, or other means of data transmission. </li><li>Responsible for all required accreditation/inspection documentation for assigned area. </li><li>Initiate appropriate corrective action and/or discipline as required by CAMC personnel policies and procedures. </li><li>Provide orientation and appropriate competency documentation for all employees in assigned area. </li><li>Prepare, monitor and justify operating budget for assigned area. </li><li>Monitor various management reports as applicable for accuracy, develop data for maximization of revenue, and provide corrections/updates as necessary. </li><li>Monitor TAT for optimum patient care and physician satisfaction. </li><li>Prepare productivity, CAP, TSI and other management reports as requested/required by upper management. </li><li>Provide for staff development by recommending seminars, arranging in-services and encouraging employee participation in projects related to corporate goals. </li><li>Participate in various committee assignments, e.g., patient care, physician satisfaction. </li><li>Maintain department, institution, and licensure (if applicable) required education; document appropriately. </li><li>Responsible for integrating continuous, quality improvement into department and institution operations. </li><li>Support and assist employee participation in the continuous, quality improvement processes. </li><li>Reinforce employee understanding of work integration with other departments throughout the institution. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</p> <p>Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact)</p> <p>The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.</p> <p>Competency Statement</p> <p>Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist.</p> <p>Common Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>(Essential duties common to all positions)</p> <ol> <li> <p>Maintain and document all applicable required education.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations.</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with the company's attendance policy.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in the continuous, quality improvement activities of the department and institution.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform work in a cost effective manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies, including but not limited to, overtime, various shift work, and on-call situations.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform related duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree (Required) Education: Preferred Degree in Medical Technology or Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science; business/employment related courses are beneficial Experience: 4 Years generalist experience- one of which must have been in a supervisory capacity </li></ul> <p>Credentials</p> <ul> <li>Clinical Lab Practitioner (Required) </li><li>Medical Tech, Cert (Required) </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Days</p> <p>Status: Full Time Regular 1.0</p> <p>Location: Memorial Hospital</p> <p>Location of Job: US:WV:Charleston</p> <p>Talent Acquisition Specialist: Lisa C.
