<p>The Technician Assistant position is responsible for assisting IT staff with the deployment and</p> <p>configuration of desktop computers and graphics workstations.</p> <ul> <li>Install and relocate desktop and laptop computers and workstations in classrooms and lab spaces </li><li>Employ proper cable management techniques to ensure computers are installed in an appropriate ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing manner </li><li>Move, store, inventory and relocate IT and related electronic equipment </li><li>Utilize deployment technologies such as Microsoft Windows Deployment services </li><li>Use IT Ticket system to accurately document activities as directed </li><li>Ensure compliance and confidentiality with all policies and procedures of the College, NC </li><li>Community College System, and applicable State and Federal agencies </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and IT staff </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <p>High School diploma or equivalent and active enrollment in an applied Associate</p> <p>degree, or related diploma program.</p> <p>Skills and the Know-How</p> <ul> <li>General knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system </li><li>Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and adhere to organizational policies. </li><li>The willingness to learn new skills and a commitment to professional development </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.</p> <p>Blue Ridge is an Equal Employment Opportunity Institution</p>
