Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an hourly position.</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Certified Pathologist Assistant is responsible for preparation, gross description, and dissection of human tissue surgical specimens under the direction and supervision of a licensed, boar certified pathologist. They will ensure the provision of high- quality services in accordance with the Medical Center and regulatory requirements.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in science (Biology, Chemistry) </li><li>Completion of NAACLS accredited Pathologist Assistant Program </li></ul> <p>Licensure/ Certification:</p> <ul> <li>ASCP Certification (PA - Pathologist Assistant) or must obtain within 1 year of hire </li></ul> <p>Other Skills/ Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree </li></ul> <p>Licensure/ Certification:</p> <ul> <li>ASCP Certification (HT -Histotechnician) or ASCP Certification (HTL-Histotechnologist) </li></ul> <p>OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
