<p>Summary</p> <p>This is a physical, fast-paced position that involves continual lifting, lowering and sliding packages. Warehouse associates support the daily warehouse operations. Our warehouse associates must have the ability to process shipping and receiving functions, unload trucks and pull/pack orders. Our associates must have the ability to communicate with staff, management and customers. Associates must be able to work well under pressure, in a dynamic warehouse environment.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Maintain shipping schedule by picking and packing individual customer orders per specific customer requirements. </li><li>Inspect all goods to specifications when received and prior to shipping to the customer. </li><li>Input receiving and order shipping information into Company ERP system on a timely and accurate basis. </li><li>Receive and verify shipments received in the Company warehouse. </li><li>Perform inventory cycle counts per work instructions. </li><li>Safely operate a lift or fork truck when picking orders or putting away merchandise. </li><li>Observe all Company safety guidelines, wear proscribed safety attire and work safely at all times. </li><li>Facility maintenance; Maintain good housekeeping in the Warehouse and around the Company facility. </li><li>Drive company vehicle for occasional pick-up or delivery. </li><li>Maintain Company building and grounds as directed. </li><li>Perform all general warehouse tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Warehouse Manager. </li><li>Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Experience with UPS Worldship, Fed Ex Manager, and DHL computer software. </li><li>Familiar with commercial and defense related shipping portals </li><li>Able to work independently. </li><li>Familiarity with warehouse/distribution systems. </li><li>Ability to be certified in forklift training program, if not already certified. </li><li>Familiar with International Shipping Regulations </li><li>Strong Oral and written communication </li><li>Be on time for scheduled workday and complete all work hours required </li><li>Maintain good working relationships with coworkers </li><li>Establish and maintain order fulfillment accuracy Accurate with attention to detail </li><li>Positive attitude on display at all times </li><li>Able to prioritize and handle several projects at once </li><li>Persistent and diligent attention to safety and detail </li><li>Proficient with basic computer programs like Excel and Word </li><li>Must possess the ability to learn job responsibilities and the various types of inventory </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.</p> <ul> <li>Operate manual material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks) </li><li>Operate powered lift trucks (LP fork-lift and electric lift truck) </li><li>Able to lift up to 50 lbs (packages, pallets, snow removal, tools, equipment) </li><li>Long periods of standing </li><li>Work on jobs that require repetitive work and motion (packaging kits) </li><li>Discern minor differences (quality inspection of product) </li></ul> <p>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</p> <p>This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
