<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The Communications and Design Specialist supports the Corporate Communications function by developing high-impact visual content and polished presentations that align with the Company's strategic priorities and brand standards. This role is responsible for producing extensive PowerPoint decks for senior leadership, helping to translate complex business concepts into clear, compelling visual narratives.</p> <p>The Communications & Design Specialist contributes to the development of annual report and shareholder materials, assists with blog content and other written communications, and supports the creation of graphics that promote and reinforce the Kewaunee brand. They also assist with special projects across departments, providing communications, creative, and event support as needed. Working collaboratively across teams, the Communications & Design Specialist helps shape strategic messaging through visual storytelling and research-informed content, ensuring consistency, clarity, and creativity in all deliverables.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Designs and develops executive-level PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences, including internal and external meetings, investor updates, and strategic initiatives. </li><li>Conducts research to support presentation development, ensuring messaging is informed, relevant, and aligned with strategic priorities. </li><li>Supports the creation of branded visual content that promotes the Company's presence and reputation across internal and external communication channels. </li><li>Assists in the development of annual report and shareholder materials, including layout design, visual storytelling, and messaging refinement. </li><li>Drafts blog content and other written materials that support corporate messaging and reputation. </li><li>Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of visual and written content with corporate goals and brand standards. </li><li>Provides communications and creative support for special projects across departments. </li><li>Maintains consistency and quality across all visual materials, adhering to brand guidelines. </li><li>Manages multiple design and communication projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution. </li><li>Maintains confidentiality of all information relating to Company communications and strategic materials. </li><li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>This job has no supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in communications, graphic design, business, journalism, or a related field with some work experience; or an Associate's Degree with 2+ years relevant communications experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional requirements include:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign specifically), and Canva. </li><li>Experience supporting executive communications and presentation development. </li><li>Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to support narrative development and blog content. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to translate complex ideas into clear, visually engaging formats. </li><li>Exceptional analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. </li><li>Strong project management skills and pronounced attention to detail. </li><li>Able to work well within a team, as well as work independently on projects. </li></ul> <p>LANGUAGE SKILLS</p> <p>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communications, professional journals, technical documents, governmental regulations, and strategic reports. Ability to write clear, concise messaging and present information effectively to various audiences.</p> <p>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</p> <p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Ability to draw and interpret basic graphs.</p> <p>REASONING ABILITY</p> <p>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
