<p>If you are an engineering professional looking for an opportunity to gain experience, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Mansfield, MA location, you will be part of the team that produces pressure relief valves for nuclear power plants as well as valves for US Navy submarines and aircraft carriers. Safety and quality are paramount and as the mechanical engineer you will work on a variety of tasks from design/drawing changes to product enhancements, and product sizing and selection.</p> <p>IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:</p> <ul> <li>Review customer specifications and develop comprehensive design proposals for valve applications. </li><li>With CAD produce models and detailed manufacturing drawings from concept sketches and legacy drawings </li><li>Provide technical support to internal company departments such as quality, manufacturing, sales, and purchasing. </li><li>Tackle issues and support shop floor activities varying from material defects to valve assembly and testing. </li><li>Prepare procedures (assembly, testing, qualification, etc.) and perform stress analysis for products and materials. </li></ul> <p>WHO YOU ARE:</p> <p>You persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks. You build strong formal and informal networks. You stay aligned with your goals and stay productive. You attentively listen to others.</p> <p>FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a similar Engineering Technology degree </li><li>Knowledge of the manufacturing environment </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:</p> <ul> <li>Three plus years' proven experience as a mechanical or product engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably with an engineered-to-order product. </li><li>Familiarity with product data management software and development of bill of materials. </li><li>Technical knowledge of valves and valve products </li><li>Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, or MIL Codes and Standards </li></ul> <p>Our Culture & Commitment to You:</p> <p>At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
