<p>Position Description</p> <p>Distributes commissary items (e.g. snacks, hygiene items) to inmates on a daily basis.</p> <p>Collects, arranges, and types up commissary slips by checking for released inmates, counting inmates and any other reason why commissary bags are left after deliveries are made.</p> <p>Pick up deliveries of commissary items at loading docks. Take inventory of commissary items monthly. Records merchandise received and adds to inventory records.</p> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED. </li><li>Valid Ohio Driver's License </li><li>Ability to lift 80lbs. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Successfully complete forklift training. </li><li>Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers. </li><li>Read English and communicate orally and in writing. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge of inventory control, industrial safety practices, and Sheriff's Office policies and procedures. Skill in operation of forklift. Ability to recognize unusual or threatening conditions and take appropriate action. Ability to sort items into categories according to established methods. Ability to work alone on most tasks.</p> <p>Unusual Working Conditions</p> <p>Ability to bend, stoop, reach above shoulders and lift heavy objects. Ability to stand, walk and sit for varying periods of time and remain alert and watchful during assigned duty hours.
