<p>The Regional Director of Maintenance provides guidance and support to Maintenance Directors of assigned facilities on all aspects of overall Maintenance of the facilities including performing repairs and maintenance on equipment and supplies, ordering and requisitioning supplies and equipment as needed. They provide guidance to Maintenance Directors on how to perform preventative maintenance checks and documentation, State Survey compliance, Life Safety and other related areas. They also support the Maintenance Directors in evaluating efficient operation of all systems and equipment and make changes, as necessary. This position would provide technical expertise and advice when hiring facility Maintenance Directors and participates along with the facility Administrator in monitoring and managing job performance of facility Maintenance Directors. This position helps teach new Directors their role and provide support in areas where they have a skill gap.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Must have thorough knowledge of general maintenance, such as: boilers, heating and air conditioning units, refrigerators and freezers, electrical wiring, etc. </li><li>Must have a Boiler license is required and a Minnesota Engineer-Class C license is preferred. </li><li>Must possess leadership ability and the ability and willingness to cooperate and communicate with all staff and Department Directors. </li><li>Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. </li><li>Must qualify for employment, after criminal background study, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing facility or assisted living community </li><li>Should be at least 21 years of age and have completed the 12th grade of High School </li><li>Two (2) years of experience in maintenance and power plant work is desirable. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and pivot with sudden demands of your attention </li><li>Resilience; ability to welcome constructive feedback, course correct and not take it personally </li><li>Personability; ability to get along with all personality types and inspire trust with residents, staff, family </li><li>High emotional intelligence (EQ) </li><li>Ability to actively listen, with the goal of understanding </li><li>Ability to clearly speak and proficiently read and write in English </li><li>Comfort in operating in ambiguous situations and with diverse populations </li><li>Ability to thrive in an environment that is fast-paced and rapidly growing </li></ul>
