If you believe in delivering great customer service, value partnership, and are always looking for a challenge, we'd like to meet you.</p> <p>Summer Internship - Supply Chain Operations & Logistics Engineering Rotation</p> <p>Location: Rochester Hills, MI</p> <p>Duration: Summer Internship (Approx. 3 months)</p> <p>Rotation Structure: ~1.5 months Supply Chain Operations Coordinator / ~1.5 months Logistics Engineering</p> <p>Schedule: Full-time, in-office</p> <p>About the Internship</p> <p>This summer internship offers hands-on exposure to both day-to-day supply chain operations and strategic logistics engineering. Interns will rotate between two teams, gaining real-world experience supporting customer freight operations while also learning how logistics networks are designed, optimized, and improved.</p> <p>If you're curious how shipments actually move and how engineers design smarter ways to move them, this role is for you.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Rotation 1: Supply Chain Operations Coordinator</p> <p>During this portion of the internship, you'll work alongside our operations team to support active transportation networks and customer accounts.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Track shipments and monitor transit performance to ensure delivery deadlines are met </li><li>Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve shipment issues </li><li>Assist with inventory reconciliation and material flow through warehouses or cross-docks </li><li>Generate reports and analyze shipment, order, and inventory data </li><li>Help identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities </li><li>Gain hands-on experience using transportation and inventory management systems </li></ul> <p>Rotation 2: Logistics Engineering</p> <p>In the engineering rotation, you'll shift from execution to design-learning how data and analysis drive smarter supply chain decisions.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Support inbound and outbound logistics network design for customer accounts </li><li>Assist with route optimization and transportation planning to reduce miles and transit time </li><li>Analyze shipment volumes, weights, and frequencies to improve efficiency </li><li>Track and communicate key performance metrics </li><li>Participate in projects focused on cost savings, network optimization, and new customer launches </li><li>Learn and use logistics analysis tools and routing software </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Comfortable working with data (Excel required; exposure to logistics tools is a plus) </li><li>Clear communicator who can work independently and in team environments </li><li>Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn how supply chains operate end to end </li></ul> <p>What You'll Gain</p> <ul> <li>Real-world exposure to both operational and engineering sides of supply chain management </li><li>Hands-on experience with transportation systems, analytics, and logistics tools </li><li>Mentorship from experienced supply chain professionals </li><li>A strong foundation for future careers in logistics, supply chain, or engineering </li></ul>
