<p>School Social Worker (Full Time)</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our K-8 community. The ideal candidate will bring a "whatever it takes" attitude to supporting scholars' academic, social, and emotional success. Prior experience in urban education settings is preferred, as is a deep belief in every child's potential to thrive.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide individual and group counseling, as well as classroom-based social-emotional support</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver direct services to meet IEP minutes and support the broader school community</p> </li><li> <p>Complete special education documentation and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct functional behavior assessments, social developmental histories, and progress monitoring</p> </li><li> <p>Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans</p> </li><li> <p>Support pre-referral interventions and monitor 504 accommodations</p> </li><li> <p>Provide crisis intervention and responsive support for scholars and families</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and lead programming on topics such as social-emotional learning, character development, violence prevention, healthy relationships, and substance abuse awareness</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and outside social service agencies to ensure holistic scholar support</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (Type 73) endorsement (required)</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in school-based social work (required)</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of special education processes and compliance (preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Commitment to scholar achievement and social-emotional growth, even in challenging circumstances</p> </li><li> <p>Strong problem-solving skills and resilience to stay focused until results are achieved</p> </li><li> <p>A growth mindset with the ability to learn from setbacks and continuously improve practice</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Competitive salary, aligned with experience</p> </li><li> <p>Comprehensive benefits package including:</p> </li><li> <p>Medical, dental, and vision insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Life insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Pension contribution</p> </li></ul>
