<p>Primary activities include but are not limited to performing laboratory analysis, developing new assays and protocols relating to gene cloning, genetic manipulation, phenotyping, and metabolic profiling. Consult with users of the core regarding sample collection, storage, and processing. Manage and analyze data, prepare written protocols for services provided by the core. Participate in meetings to optimize experimental design by core users. Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment. Manage and order laboratory supplies. Hold training sessions for molecular biology laboratory classes and users and their staff in the core facility on facility research equipment. Prepare reports for users, center director and core director. Prepare billing statements for customers as well as UNL Accounting.
