<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) exists to improve public education through high quality, cost effective programs and services. We are the Regional Educational Service Center (RESC) for the twenty-five school districts in south central Connecticut. Over 40 states operate Educational Service Agencies because of the financial benefits that are obtained through regional collaboration.</p> <p>ACES is seeking Board Certified Behavior Analysts to provide school-based services.</p> <p>10-month position within the Autism Programs (mid-August-June), plus additional Mandatory Summer School (July)</p> <p>Assessment:</p> <ul> <li>Conducts formal behavior analytic assessments including functional assessments, skill-based assessments, ecological assessments, and preference assessments. </li></ul> <p>Conducts observations of students</p> <ul> <li>Conducts observations of staff </li><li>Conducts procedural fidelity checks for on-going programs </li><li>Conducts reliability checks on data being collected </li><li>Conducts analysis and reporting of behavioral and instructional data </li><li>Conducts formal behavior analytic assessments including functional assessments, skill-based assessments, and ecological assessments. </li><li>Prepares and disseminates assessment reports </li><li>Reviews student issues collaboratively with relevant team members </li></ul> <p>Instruction:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team in the development, implementation, and assessment of programmatic activities (academic and behavioral) </li></ul> <p>General:</p> <ul> <li>Completes the setup and monitoring of data management systems </li><li>Displays data in graphs and tables </li><li>Creates student and staff scheduling </li><li>Leads student casings </li><li>Completes student updates </li><li>Presents information in PPT meetings </li><li>Supervises and evaluates BSAP staff </li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor </li></ul> <p>Communication:</p> <ul> <li>Completes all forms, reports, and paperwork in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner </li><li>Communicates relevant behavior/instructional information to team on an on-going basis </li><li>Communicates professionally with peers and leadership staff </li><li>Communicates professionally with outside agencies, and parent/guardians </li><li>Participates in staff/student meetings </li><li>Attends/participates in parent meeting </li></ul> <p>Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Knows, understands, and complies with ACES policies and procedures </li><li>Knows, understands, and complies with Behavior Services and Autism Programs policies and procedures </li><li>Knows, understands, and complies with building/program policies and procedures </li><li>Knows, understands, and complies with safety management procedures </li><li>Knows, understands, and complies with all relevant all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations </li><li>When relevant for RBT registration, BCBA certification, or supervision thereof, complies with all regulations and guidelines of the BACB </li><li>Demonstrates understanding for all concepts presented through the ACES Behavior Services and Autism Programs Training Series </li><li>Knows, understands, and complies with all relevant individual behavior management programs in operation </li><li>Fluently discusses and applies pedagogic strategies based in Applied Behavior Analysis </li><li>Fluently discusses and applies applied behavior analytic concepts, principles, and methodologies </li><li>Fluently discusses advanced behavior analytic concepts and methodologies </li><li>Continues professional growth through ongoing trainings, discussions and other learning opportunities presented </li><li>Seeks out additional training and professional development opportunities </li></ul> <p>Training:</p> <ul> <li>Participates in assigned training and staff development opportunities </li><li>Provides training and feedback regarding instructional and behavioral skills </li><li>Develops and conducts formal presentations and workshops </li></ul>
