<p>As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at the Post-Acute Care Clinic (PACC). Under the supervision of a nurse practitioner or physician, the CMA assists in delivering patient-centered care, performing clinical and administrative duties, maintaining medication safety, and helping to reduce wait times. Responsible for scheduling appointments in accordance with the established guidelines in a manner acceptable to provider and patients. As the scheduler, you insure compliance with governmental rules and regulations.</p> <p>Clinical Support Duties:</p> <p>Room patients and perform intake assessments including vitals, medication reconciliation, and discharge review</p> <p>Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during patient visits and procedures</p> <p>Administer injections and immunizations under provider supervision</p> <p>Conduct point-of-care testing (glucose, urinalysis) and document results accurately</p> <p>Ensure medication orders are prepared correctly and managed under the clinic's medication policies (non-narcotic only)</p> <p>Monitor for adverse reactions or post-discharge concerns and escalate as appropriate</p> <p>Administrative & Coordination Duties:</p> <p>Post-patient charges into the EMR the same day of the visit</p> <p>Quality review charges daily through the EMR</p> <p>Schedule follow-up appointments prior to exiting the area</p> <p>Update EMR with visit notes, intake data, and care coordination documentation</p> <p>Coordinate with interdisciplinary, client companies, and pharmacy teams</p> <p>Manage supply inventory and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked and sanitized</p> <p>Participate in quality and compliance audits and support improvement initiatives.</p> <ul> <li>High school or equivalent, higher education preferred. </li></ul> <p>Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program</p> <ul> <li>1 year of experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or hospital transitional care. </li></ul> <p>Prior experience with EMR documentation and post-discharge workflows is a plus.</p> <p>Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by AAMA, AMT.</p> <p>BLS certification</p>
