<p>Coordinates and provides care for a group of patients spanning all age groups and cultures for a designated time frame using therapeutic means, the laboratory process, the environment/instrumentation and other health care team members while assuming responsibility and accountability for these patients; responsibilities are to provide patient care in an ambulatory care setting under the clinical supervision of a physician or MD within the guidelines of nursing process and nurse practitioner protocols as outlined in Patient Care Guidelines for Nurse Practitioners.</p> <p>Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking a per diem Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our community-based hospital in Attleboro, MA. What started as a 15-bed facility over 100 years ago has grown to be a 132-bed facility.</p> <p>Our Emergency Department sees over 49,000 annual ED visits and offers full specialty back-up with 24 hour hospitalist coverage. Our Emergency Department has up to quadruple provider coverage per day plus an additional staffed fast track area.</p> <p>About the job:</p> <ul> <li>Per diem schedule </li><li>Provide care for patients evaluated and treated in the emergency department </li><li>Utilize therapeutic means, laboratory data, and radiographic studies in coordination of care under the clinical supervision of the Chief, Emergency Services or their designee </li><li>Provide direct patient care to our communities in a well-established community hospital </li><li>Patient-centric mindset to provide the highest quality service and patient care </li><li>Work alongside other passionate physicians and advanced practitioners, as well as highly trained nursing and support staff </li><li>Work cross-functionally with hospitalists and other specialties </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years' experience in a community hospital or tertiary care Emergency Department co-managing ESI level 2 and 3 patients and working up and managing ESI level 4 and 5 patients </li><li>Excellent command of verbal and written English </li><li>Excellent operation of clinical equipment </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Ability to interact effectively with both adults and children </li><li>Ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently </li><li>Ability to work effectively and professionally with other clinical, nursing, and physicians </li><li>Ability to multi-task, handle interruptions and work effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department </li><li>Proficiency in technology usage </li><li>Graduate of an accredited and/or approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program </li><li>Current license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or ability to obtain </li><li>ACLS/BLS certification </li></ul> <p>Location: 211 Park Street, Attleboro, MA</p> <p>Contact: Please submit your application materials through the link on this page.
