<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking to hire a Senior Property Accountant in New York City, New York (NY).</p> <p>Responsibilities Include:</p> <ul> <li>The Senior Property Accountant will provide accounting support for non-recurring transactions related to assigned properties </li><li>Review and analyze general ledgers for assigned property's, process journal entries, calculate monthly accruals, and update supporting balance sheet account schedules </li><li>Review and approve A/P voucher, payroll data entries, A/R adjustments, daily cash receipts journal, rent rolls, etc. </li><li>Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages </li><li>As a Senior Property Accountant, you will review and prepare necessary workpaper reconciliations to balance sheet and income statement in a timely manner </li><li>Prepare income statement variance analysis and balance sheet analysis </li><li>Prepare year end expense reconciliations and tenant billings </li><li>Prepare accounting assessments of tenant leases </li><li>Monitor daily cash activity, bank reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations </li><li>The Senior Property Accountant will be coordinating debt service payments, including lender reserves, and supporting compliance reporting* Bachelor's degree in Accounting </li><li>CPA certification preferred </li><li>3+ years of public accounting and/or commercial real estate accounting experience </li><li>Experience in Yardi and a proficiency in Microsoft Excel </li><li>Knowledge of US GAAP (specifically, real estate) </li><li>Understanding of property management in relation to financial accounting, recoveries, budgeting, and forecasting </li><li>Well-organized, self-starter, and able to handle multiple priorities </li></ul>
