The Recovery Technician will interact with residents, co-workers, HCBC's team members and</p> <p>vendors daily demonstrating self-initiative, professionalism, and positive leadership at a residential facility. The Recovery</p> <p>Technician must be alert and have solid observation skills to report and document the resident's activities and any change</p> <p>of behavior. The Recovery Technician must be able to work under supervision and make good sound decisions without</p> <p>detailed instructions.</p> <p>SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL PAY FOR 1ST, 3rd, AND WEEKEND SHIFTS</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES</p> <ul> <li>Monitors and intervenes with residents and ensures appropriate, acceptable behaviors are shown, physical and </li></ul> <p>emotional security is assured.</p> <ul> <li>Provides direct support to residents in order to meet treatment plan goals in accordance with the policies of the </li></ul> <p>facility and as agreed upon by the individual resident.</p> <ul> <li>Is responsible to follow all program schedules including meals, recreation, smoke breaks, groups, and other </li></ul> <p>activities outlined in the policies as changes occur.</p> <ul> <li>Completes medication counts as required, and reports issues related to medications, medical, or behavioral health </li></ul> <p>needs of the resident to the Program Manager or designee.</p> <ul> <li>Assists in resident admissions as outlined by supervisor and the program's needs. </li><li>Monitors and documents daily chore completion as designated by supervisor, ensuring cleanliness of facility. </li><li>Collects specimen to perform urine analysis and conducts Breathalyzer testing. </li><li>Reports and documents observation accurately and completely. </li><li>Participates in and meets ethical standards regarding all treatment and documentation practices, Quality </li></ul> <p>Assurance and Quality Improvement procedures, utilization management, and program/client outcomes.</p> <ul> <li>Follows all agency policies and procedures including emergency and corporate compliance policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>100% of the time.</p> <ul> <li>Must be available to work weekends and holidays. </li><li>Performs other related work as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of substance use disorders and the criminal justice system </li><li>Basic knowledge and understanding of human behavior, attitudes, and motivation </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Skill in resolving conflicts and negotiating with others </li><li>Skill in developing positive and productive participant relationships </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain accurate, legible, organized records, and to prepare timely reports </li><li>Ability to plan and organize working time effectively and to meet deadlines </li><li>Ability to work effectively with persons from diverse cultures and backgrounds and to respect individual </li></ul> <p>differences</p> <ul> <li>Ability to handle confidential information appropriate </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB</p> <p>EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>The following education and experience qualifications are the minimum requirement used to admit or reject applicants for consideration.</p> <ul> <li>Possession of a high school diploma, equivalency or life experience equivalency </li><li>A minimum of one year experience in working with clients with severe mental illness </li><li>Licensure Certification, Registration: Medication Aide, CPR, First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Peer Support Specialist </li></ul> <p>Qualifying experience must include some combination of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Providing one-on-one or group services with a rehabilitation/habilitation and recovery/resiliency focus; </li><li>Any certified CNA work </li></ul> <p>Lived experience with substance use or recovery, PSS</p> <p>Supporting efforts to find and maintain employment for individuals and/or to function appropriately in families, school and communities;</p> <p>Assisted individuals to achieve the goals and objectives on their individualized treatment or person centered plans.</p> <p>NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>All candidates will be required to submit to a background screening.
