We want your knowledge and expertise!</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>The Lead Certified Surgical Technologist delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing various functions to support the efficient operation of the surgical suite. Under the supervision of the Circulating RN, the Lead Surgical Technologist prepares the surgical suite, positions and prepares the patient, and provides instruments, equipment, and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure. The Lead Surgical Technologist ensures a sterile field, proper instrument counts, and proper operation of instruments and equipment. The Lead Surgical Technologistparticipatesin patient-specific care as directed and follows service excellence standards to promoteoptimumpatient satisfaction. In addition, the Lead Surgical Technologistassistswith ongoing training and/or precepting of new and current employees as directed by the supervisor. The Lead Surgical Technologistis responsible forensuring new processes, equipment and other changes are communicated and/or taught to other Surgical Technologists.</p> <p>What qualifications you will need:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date </li><li>Vocational School Graduate in Surgical Technology required </li><li>High School Dipolma, GED, or quivalent required </li><li>Currently certified as Surgical Technician or Surgical Technologist in the state of Florida, in accordance with law and regulation </li><li>2 years experience as OR Tech preferred </li><li>Prior supervisory experience preferred </li></ul> <p>HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a 404-bed tertiary care hospital.
