<p>Posting Number F130P Job Title Part-time Assistant Volleyball Coach Job Description Bargaining Unit Coaches Full-Time/Part-Time FLSA Exempt Salary Range $16,250 Department Athletics Type</p> <p>Posting Text</p> <p>Job Summary / Basic Function</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Head Coach with the management/implementation of a competitive Women's Volleyball Program within the framework of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), NCAA, the CBA, and/or the rules and regulations of the University and any other athletic conference in which the University is a member. </li><li>Assist with the planning and managing of competitions and practices of the program, including in-season and out-of-season player development, at the direction of the head coach. </li><li>Responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of the game and practice film collection and exchange program. </li><li>Responsible for directing the computer/video editing system. </li><li>Promote the academic success of the student athletes. </li><li>Assist in recruitment of qualified student athletes. </li><li>Advise student athletes of the University's athletic policies and all other appropriate requirements of PSAC and NCAA and any other athletic conference in which the University is a member. </li><li>Help implement the Edinboro University Athletic Drug Education, Screening and Counseling Program for intercollegiate athletes including being a member of the drug screening team. </li><li>Assist in managing the budget for the program, including organizing and planning travel arrangements. </li><li>Participate in fund-raising events and the promotion of good public relations. </li><li>Responsible for the submission of monthly work schedules to the Head Coach as directed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of current trends in volleyball defensive techniques and strategies. </li><li>Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules required </li><li>Computer knowledge/abilities required </li><li>Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required </li></ul> <p>Minimum of Education / TrainingRequired Education Summary</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree </li><li>2 years volleyball coaching experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>knowledge of volleyball defensive techniques and strategies </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands Work Location Edinboro Is travel to other PennWest campuses required for this position?
