<p>Salary: 55k-60k/annually</p> <p>Location: Yonkers, NY</p> <p>Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site | Travel Required</p> <p>Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Are you a passionate and driven HR professional looking to grow your career in a dynamic, mission-driven environment? We're seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team and support a full range of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance.</p> <p>As an integral part of our HR team, you'll partner with employees and management across departments, ensuring a positive workplace culture and smooth execution of HR operations.</p> <ul> <li>Act as a liaison between employees and management, ensuring clear communication of HR policies, procedures, labor laws, and standards. </li><li>Address and resolve employee relations issues including complaints, harassment concerns, and civil rights matters. </li><li>Facilitate and deliver employee training, including onboarding and orientation. </li><li>Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: source, interview, and hire candidates for entry-level and professional roles. </li><li>Process and review background checks to ensure compliance during hiring. </li><li>Conduct new hire orientation and enter employee data into HR systems. </li><li>Provide employee support on HR policies, procedures, and benefit programs. </li><li>Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. </li><li>Support bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. </li><li>Maintain payroll records and generate reports for HR and accounting departments. </li><li>Administer employee leaves (FMLA, ADA, NYPFL, Workers' Compensation, etc.) and coordinate with third-party providers. </li><li>Serve as the primary contact for employees on leave of absence. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Mandatory Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field </li><li>SHRM-CP certification (or willingness to obtain within one year of hire) </li><li>Valid, unrestricted NYS driver's license </li><li>Ability to travel frequently between agency locations </li><li>Must pass a criminal background check and fingerprint examination </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Up to 17 PTO days gained through our generous Paid Time Off accrual system </li><li>Accrual rate increases after first year </li><li>4 Floating Holidays received every year </li><li>10 Agency Paid Holidays </li><li>Low Cost Medical Insurance, Dental, Vision Coverage, & Life Insurance </li><li>Short Term and Long Term Disability </li><li>403 B Retirement Plans (2% Match) </li><li>Pre Taxed Commuter Benefits </li><li>Professional Development </li><li>Employee Discount Programs </li></ul> <p>Special Citizens Futures Unlimited, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO)</p> <p>JOB CODE: HRC070125</p>
