<p>Neumont College of Computer Science is seeking a dynamic and experienced Cyber Security Instructor. This role is central to the development and delivery of our Cybersecurity Certificate Program, and provides an exciting opportunity to shape curriculum, instruct future professionals, and work within a student-focused, project-based learning environment.</p> <p>POSITION OVERVIEW</p> <p>As a Cyber Security Instructor, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and update cybersecurity curriculum. </li><li>Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with Neumonts active learning methodology. </li><li>Evaluate student performance, provide timely and constructive feedback, and mentor students individually or in groups. </li><li>Collaborate with faculty and academic leadership to continually improve course offerings and student outcomes. </li></ul> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Curriculum & Instruction</p> <ul> <li>Design and maintain courses within the cybersecurity certificate program. </li><li>Deliver instruction that supports student engagement and mastery of learning objectives. </li><li>Develop assessments that accurately measure student learning. </li><li>Provide timely grading and individualized feedback. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date materials, syllabus, and grades in the Learning Management System (LMS). </li><li>Hold regular office hours and support students outside of class. </li></ul> <p>Collaboration & Continuous Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Participate in faculty meetings and committees as needed. </li><li>Contribute to the improvement of teaching strategies and project-based learning initiatives. </li><li>Work closely with academic leadership to identify areas for course and personal development. </li><li>Utilize student and peer feedback to enhance teaching effectiveness. </li><li>Support peer observation and mentorship activities. </li></ul> <p>Additional Duties May Include</p> <ul> <li>Supervising courses or student projects. </li><li>Participating in curriculum redesign and program evaluation. </li><li>Supporting academic metrics and reporting. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education & Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related preferred. </li><li>Relevant industry certifications: A+, Security+, CySA+, and other CompTIA certifications required. </li><li>Teaching experience is a strong plus. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience OR </li><li>Minimum of 8 years of exceptional professional experience in the field. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and industry standards. </li><li>Experience with project-based learning and/or curriculum development. </li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. </li><li>Proficiency in team collaboration and conflict resolution. </li><li>Ability to engage diverse learners and foster a supportive academic environment. </li></ul> <p>WORK SCHEDULE & REPORTING</p> <ul> <li>Full-time: ~40 hours/week (exempt) or part-time, based on availability. </li><li>Occasional evenings and weekends may be required with advance notice. </li><li>Reports to: Vice President of Academic Operations. </li><li>Supervisory Responsibilities: None. </li></ul>
