<p>Overview</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Educates students in general college chemistry by providing instructional experiences that support course outcomes, and mission and goals of University and/or program. Under the administrative direction of the Academic Dean and/or general direction of the Program Chair.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates and delivers courses as assigned. </li><li>Evaluates student learning outcomes for expected course and program competencies. </li><li>Participates in classroom and/or clinical instruction. </li><li>Communicates institutional program policies and goals to students, faculty, staff and clinical affiliates as appropriate. </li><li>Communicates course learning outcomes and expected student competencies to clinical affiliates. </li><li>Participates in activities to remain current with advances in knowledge base, teaching and learning strategies, professional practice, trends, issues, and curricular resources. </li><li>Participates in the assessment of Program Learning Outcomes as needed. </li><li>Perform other accountabilities as assigned or directed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Master's degree required, terminal degree/certificate in the professional discipline preferred</p> <p>Work or teaching experience equivalent to three (3) years of post-secondary teaching in the discipline</p> <p>Current license/certification to practice in the State of Tennessee as appropriate to professional practice areas</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Master's Degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline or</p> <p>Master's Degree in a related or academically appropriate discipline and the terminal degree/certificate in the professional discipline.</p>
