<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <p>Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.</p> <p>Performs routine maintenance in accordance with schedules determined by supervisor.</p> <p>Acquires and maintains a full complement of personal tools as necessary to perform general repair and service work.</p> <p>Provides technical assistance to plant supervisory personnel as related to employee orientation and training and/or training activities.</p> <p>Immediately responds to every breakdown to ensure machinery is up and running.</p> <p>Must be proactive, detect minor problems and correct them before they become major problems.</p> <p>Locates areas in need of repair, determines necessary repairs and performs work as appropriate or reports problem to supervisor.</p> <p>Maintains clean work area.</p> <p>Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <p>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 5 years prior experience involving general plant maintenance work involving both electrical and mechanical systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Language Skills</p> <p>Ability to read and comprehend typical schematic drawings involving electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as necessary to troubleshoot, repair, and/or service the same. Can read and comprehend typical machine tool, equipment service, and trouble-shooting manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.</p>
