As a Shift Supervisor, Protective Personnel at Centrus Energy, you'll serve as the senior security authority during off-shift hours-leading the front line responsible for protecting critical assets, classified matter, and special nuclear material. You'll guide a union-represented team, ensure compliance with strict regulatory standards, and keep operations running smoothly around the clock. If you thrive in high-responsibility environments where leadership, precision, and real-time decision-making intersect, this role puts you at the center of it all.</p> <p>What You Will Do:</p> <p>You'll provide direct supervision and leadership to Protective Personnel (PP), ensuring staffing, training, and performance meet all regulatory, contractual, and operational requirements. Acting as the senior off-shift security representative, you'll oversee access control and alarm system events, ensure compliance with security plans and procedures, and maintain real-time awareness of site security conditions. You'll coordinate training, conduct performance testing, support audits and inspections, and partner with internal teams, DOE security forces, and regulatory bodies to maintain a seamless security posture. Additionally, you'll support system upgrades, track corrective actions, assist with investigations and risk assessments, and ensure all activities are properly documented-keeping the site secure, compliant, and mission-ready at all times.</p> <p>We'd Love to Hear From People With:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and experience </li><li>5+ years of experience in a security-related role </li><li>2+ years of direct supervisory experience </li><li>2+ years of experience in training or performance testing </li><li>Working knowledge of DOE and NRC security policies and procedures </li><li>The ability to obtain and maintain a "Q" clearance. </li></ul> <p>A Successful Candidate Brings:</p> <ul> <li>Active or prior Tier 5 security clearance </li><li>Experience working in an NRC or DOE regulated security environment </li><li>5+ years of experience working with security access control and alarm systems (SACAS) </li><li>Experience supporting regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance programs </li><li>Ability to lead union-represented teams and manage workforce scheduling and coverage </li><li>Strong understanding of security systems, risk assessments, and corrective action programs </li><li>Holds an Active "Q" Clearance </li></ul> <p>In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.</p> <p>This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.</p> <p>Centrus Energy and all subsidiaries shall abide by the applicable legal requirements.
