<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position is for a mechanically inclined individual who possesses a positive attitude, desire to continuously improve, and ability to set-up and/or operate various sorting machines. This person will be a key player in the Machine Sorting area. The Machine Sort Prep Technician's main role will be to handle parts after they have been sorted before they are stored and shipped.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintain a clean and orderly work area</p> </li><li> <p>Handle and dump parts into machine</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure machine and component parts are running properly</p> </li><li> <p>Weigh, stack, and move full boxes onto pallets</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain records, documents and files as instructed</p> </li><li> <p>Move parts by hand truck or forklift if needed</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to set up paperwork and machines based on sort level capacity</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct all required audits within the assigned cell</p> </li><li> <p>Adjust machines as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Train Team Members on all work standards</p> </li><li> <p>Suggest Process improvement ideas</p> </li><li> <p>All other activities as assigned by Supervisor</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications-Education/Experience</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Flexibility to work in a variety of assignments.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and understand work instructions and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to learn to use QA gauging and measuring instruments.</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of basic math skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to use a hand truck or forklift as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Good mechanical aptitude.</p> </li><li> <p>Problem solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Good communication skills.</p> </li></ul>
