<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Executive Director, Finance Operations plays a key role in driving the financial performance of Hebrew SeniorLife (HSL). The position focuses on identifying, measuring, and achieving operational improvements. Serves as a key member of the Finance leadership team and is responsible for the oversight of HSL's financial operations. Assesses and evaluates financial performance of organization regarding operational goals, budgets, and forecasts. Creates and establishes yearly financial objectives that align with the organization's plan for growth and/or expansion. Works cross-functionally with subject matter experts and leadership to ensure both short-term and long-term initiatives of the organization are being met. Responsible for the department's continuous effective operation, including ongoing performance improvement.</p> <p>Core Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. </li><li>Financial Planning and Budgeting: Developing and managing financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. </li><li>Financial Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with relevant standards. </li><li>Accounting and Auditing: Basic knowledge of accounting principles and auditing procedures. </li><li>Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks. </li><li>Regulatory Compliance: Understanding and adhering to relevant financial regulations and standards. </li><li>Project Management: Ability to lead and manage financial projects effectively. </li><li>Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes and systems. </li><li>Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with financial technology and systems. </li><li>Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial matters. </li><li>Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial challenges. </li><li>Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business conditions and priorities. </li></ul> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensures the day to day financial operations of the assigned entities(s) are completed in an efficient manner and in accordance with organizational policies and values. Demonstrates strategic thinking in planning, implementing, and evaluating systems/programs/initiatives to ensure the future growth and sustainment of the organization. Develops and implements operational objectives, goals, and specific strategies required to support and achieve the strategic outcomes of the department/organization. Develops and executes on short- and long-term goals for the /organization. </li><li>Develops and maintains performance improvement activities in the department and recommends / implements changes as appropriate. Manages and monitors expenses, including staffing and labor. Develops, manages, and implements continuous improvement throughout finance operations. Analyzes business processes to identify potential issues or opportunities for cost savings and proposes solutions. Develops operational metrics to measure and compare across the system and make recommendations/improvements based on metrics. </li><li>Develops and maintains monthly and annual operating budget for assigned facility(s).. Reviews and analyzes monthly financial results and provide recommendations. Focuses the organization on achieving Bridge goals. Appropriately educates and mentors, and leads/participates in company initiatives, such as employee engagement, to support a team-oriented culture. Acts as a coach and positive role model for staff by establishing and maintaining a safe work environment that fosters positive morale. Provides guidance and support to manager/supervisor/staff as needed. Demonstrates behavior consistent with mission and core values. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Master's Degree of Business Administration preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 8 years of healthcare finance experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role required. </li><li>Experience with business analytics concepts and techniques (pivot tables, databases, queries, etc.) required. </li><li>Demonstrates excellent organizational skills/abilities. Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner. </li><li>Strong time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks. </li><li>Must have strong communication and project management skills. </li><li>Proven ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization. </li><li>Strong Microsoft Office experience with advanced knowledge of Excel. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, and potentially some moderate lifting, with local travel requirements also being a factor. </li></ul> <p>Remote Type</p> <p>Hybrid</p> <p>Hebrew SeniorLife is an equal opportunity employer.
