<p>SY 2024-2025 Student Internship Coordinator</p> <p>The Student Internship Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the student internship program during the summer programming months. The Student Internship Coordinator is responsible for assigning student interns to various roles within the summer program site and collaborating with the 21st Century administrator, summer site coordinator, and assistant coordinators to supervise their work.</p> <p>The Student Internship Coordinator will provide students with a positive experience by helping them with the necessary tools, training, and support to ensure their success working with school-age children. As part of this responsibility, the Student Internship Coordinator must also be comfortable and confident in planning and facilitating student professional development training workshops.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Both certified and non-certified staff must have an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university in education, child development, or a related field (or be working towards an associate degree or higher); or have equivalent job experience in the field. Master's Degree preferred;</p> </li><li> <p>To qualify as a certified teacher/instructor, a candidate must have a Certified Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Any PreK-12 license <p></p> </li><li> <p>SEI Endorsement</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to plan activities with the interns;</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience leading summer or after-school programs is preferred;</p> </li><li> <p>Applicants must commit to being present for the full duration of the program. See the dates below;</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents and advocate for children to effectively problem-solve;</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and ability to work with all stakeholders;</p> </li><li> <p>Belief in the commitment to increasing personal growth, both academic and social-emotional, to obtain the highest level of achievement for every student.</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate interns' orientation/training materials with FSU/MWCC/FPS staff; </li><li>Order/process materials; </li><li>Coordinate implementation of literacy and math instruction during the program; </li><li>Maintain attendance records of interns; </li><li>Collect, maintain, and submit timesheets to the business office; </li><li>Coordinate intern development meetings; </li><li>Collect, maintain, and submit payroll records of all summer staff to the business office; </li><li>Other duties may be assigned depending on the school level; </li><li>Provide ongoing feedback to students concerning their progress on the internship. </li></ul> <p>Hours: Dependent on Site Placement of Interns</p> <p>Program Implementation:</p> <p>Academic School Year Program Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Staff Orientation, PD & Planning: 9/15/25-9/18/25 </li><li>Session 1: 9/22/25-12/3/25 </li><li>PD & Planning: 12/8/25-12/11/25 </li><li>Session 2: 12/15/25-3/12/26 </li><li>PD & Planning: 3/16/26-3/18/26 </li><li>Session 3: 3/23/26-6/4/26 </li></ul> <p>Intern Orientation and Professional Development Days:</p> <p>Orientation and Initial Training: September 15- 18, 2025</p> <p>School Year Program Hours:</p> <ul> <li>Crocker/Reingold/McKay 3:25 pm-5:55 pm </li><li>Memorial: 1:50 pm-4:20 pm </li><li>Longsjo 2:25pm-4:55pm </li></ul> <p>Total Compensation: Not To Exceed (NTE) 264 hours; Certified and Non-Certified staff rate $35/hr, NTE: $9,240.00. This amount includes all program time as well as all prep and wrap-up required - timesheet submission for payment bi-weekly.</p> <p>Funding Source: 21st CCLC Grants, City Funding</p> <p>Applicants must commit to being present for the full duration of the program.</p> <p>The responsibilities and duties listed are illustrations of the various types of work performed.
