The Physical Therapist provides goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment to promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks. As a member of the health care team, the physical therapist works closely with other rehabilitation disciplines, nursing, physicians, and case managers to provide patient-centered care. Patient/family and community education are essential components of this position.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Evaluate patients' mobility and motor function to assess functional performance</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement goal-directed, activity-oriented treatment plans</p> </li><li> <p>Promote optimum independence in functional mobility and daily life tasks</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care</p> </li><li> <p>Provide patient, family, and community education on physical therapy and rehabilitation</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate and timely patient records</p> </li><li> <p>Stay current with best practices and emerging techniques in physical therapy</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program</p> </li><li> <p>Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license</p> </li><li> <p>Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings</p> </li><li> <p>Additional certifications in specialized physical therapy techniques</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program</p> </li><li> <p>Relevant clinical experience preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Licenses and Certifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license</p> </li><li> <p>Current BCLS certification</p> </li></ul> <p>As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
