<p>Job Title: Quality Control Chemist</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>As a Quality Control Chemist, you will perform chemistry and microbiological laboratory testing such as pH, viscometer, UV-Vis, GC, FTIR, and titration. Your role involves inspecting raw materials and conducting quality tests to ensure they meet specifications. You will perform pre-operation, in-process, and final product testing to ensure product conformance, collaborate with Production to make necessary batch adjustments, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory and quality equipment, and document all quality and lab activities.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform chemistry and microbiological laboratory testing including pH, viscometer, UV-Vis, GC, FTIR, and titration. </li><li>Inspect raw materials and conduct quality testing to ensure specifications are met. </li><li>Perform pre-operation, in-process, and final product testing for product conformance. </li><li>Collaborate with Production to make necessary adjustments to batches. </li><li>Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory and quality equipment. </li><li>Document all quality and laboratory activities, maintaining appropriate records. </li><li>Write quality documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and regulatory paperwork like FDA documentation. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Chemistry education (chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, etc.). </li><li>Analytical chemistry. </li><li>Wet chemistry. </li><li>Quality assurance. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ability to perform necessary QA/QC activities and documentation. </li><li>Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance processes. </li><li>Experience in batch adjustments. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role is based in a brand new manufacturing facility and laboratory. The position primarily involves working in the lab and quality office, with some collaboration with production on technical issues and batch adjustments. The work schedule is a 1st shift position from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30/4:30 p.m., typically Monday through Friday, with a workweek of approximately 40 to 45 hours. The role offers opportunities to learn from experienced Quality Engineers and the Quality Manager, gain extensive experience, and potentially serve as a backup to other team members. Benefits include a 5% bonus potential, 3 weeks of PTO, 5 sick days, and 2 floating holidays.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $68000.00 - $75600.00/yr.</p> <p>This company provides Health, Dental, and Vision benefits.
