<p>Job Description:</p> <p>POSITION TITLE: Full Time Faculty - Business Administration (Tenure-Track; Open Rank -Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor)</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Business Administration</p> <p>PRIMARY LOCATION: Courses may be held in the classroom at our Fall River, New Bedford, Attleboro, and Taunton locations or at area clinical sites; in the hybrid or online environment; and/or via other modalities as assigned.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Dean of Business</p> <p>POSITION STATUS: Full-time, tenure track, MCCC/MTA unit position with benefits. The title of this position will be Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor, depending on the selected candidate's experience.</p> <p>SALARY: Minimum salary $52,880 - $70,103 - actual salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and consistent with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement.</p> <p>START DATE: Academic Year 2025-2026</p> <p>STATEMENT OF DUTIES</p> <p>Full-time Faculty Business Administration - This faculty position is responsible for teaching a full-time course schedule in the Business Administration Academic Area (associate degrees, certificates, other credentials), including, but not limited to, those listed in our Academic Catalog. This role involves developing course materials in areas such as Accounting, Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Management, and other related fields. Courses may be held at our Fall River, New Bedford, Attleboro, and Taunton locations and/or in the online environment as assigned. The full-time instructor will play a critical role in the teaching and learning process, contributing to student learning outcomes and overall success for the academic area and Bristol Community College.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provide instruction, and when appropriate, design Accounting, Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Management, and other course material to meet learning outcomes, and promote students' active participation in their own learning. </li><li>Teach face-to-face as well as hybrid, and online modalities. </li><li>Assess student learning and assign grades through equitable and inclusive pedagogies and assessment strategies. </li><li>Adhere to workload as specified in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, including duties such as, but not limited to, developing curricula to address course and student learning outcomes and General Education competencies as appropriate, completing book orders, creating syllabi, verifying student enrollment, and submitting final grades by the contractual deadline. </li><li>Foster student success across the college's diverse student body, and address equity gaps, through innovative teaching and learning approaches as well as curriculum development. </li><li>Incorporate High-Impact Practices (HIPs) into curricular and pedagogical approaches, with emphasis on HIPs that provide students with real-world experiences such as Service-Learning and internship opportunities. </li><li>Serve as an academic advisor to assigned students. </li><li>Post and maintain a minimum of four (4) office hours per week. </li><li>Serve on college committees as elected or appointed. </li><li>Attend program, department, academic area, all-college and committee/council meetings. </li><li>Recommend suitable instructional material, textbooks, and library acquisitions. </li><li>Participate in assessment of course and program learning outcomes. </li><li>Use technology effectively to communicate with students and colleagues, to teach online as needed, and to enhance classroom learning as appropriate. </li><li>Engage in professional development activities through participation in conferences, workshops, seminars, and professional associations to maintain excellence in the discipline and in the classroom. </li><li>Demonstrate a sense of professionalism and consistently reflect Bristol's core values while interacting with members of the Bristol community. </li><li>Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions. </li><li>Actively participate in the general college community and fulfill duties as stipulated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. </li><li>Complete required training such as, but not limited to, Title IX, FERPA, and Information Security. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, or related field. </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience. </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience at the college/university level or equivalent industry training experience. </li><li>Demonstrated experience with online instruction and/or virtual training experience within a Learning Management System (i.e., Canvas, Blackboard). </li><li>Demonstrated experience in curricular planning and assessment, as well as demonstrated use of innovative educational learning techniques and technologies to enhance student learning. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Proven technological proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications. </li><li>Able to work effectively with a diverse student body, faculty, and staff. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Doctorate in related field preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated versatility in teaching a range of courses offered in the Business area. </li><li>Experience with Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) applications and/or integration into instructional approaches. </li><li>Experience in community college teaching, advising, and curriculum development. </li><li>Training experience or other demonstrable use of materials and assignments that incorporate international business and multi-cultural perspectives designed to improve the critical thinking, writing, verbal communications, and interpersonal skills of students. </li><li>Demonstrated proficiency with Canvas, Banner, Argos, and/or DegreeWorks, EAB Navigate. </li><li>Demonstrated experience working on academic or college committees and within teams. </li><li>Demonstrated commitment
