<p>Easton Technical Products is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic on-site Accounting Manager to support our finance operations with a strong emphasis on cost accounting. This individual contributor role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and driving continuous improvement across accounting processes.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Cost Accounting & Inventory</p> <ul> <li>Support inventory setup, cost accuracy, and cost roll processes </li><li>Analyze and report on standard vs. actual cost variances </li><li>Assist with inventory audits and year-end counts </li><li>Ensure accurate costing impacts across purchasing and production </li></ul> <p>Accounts Payable & Purchasing</p> <ul> <li>Understand AP and PO processes and coding to the general ledger </li><li>Monitor how purchasing activities affect inventory and costing </li></ul> <p>Month-End Close & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and post journal entries </li><li>Support monthly close and financial statement preparation </li><li>Generate and analyze monthly financial reports </li><li>Provide documentation and support for external audits </li></ul> <p>Compliance & Tax Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and/or support payroll, sales, property, and other tax filings </li><li>Provide information to prepare income tax returns </li><li>Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations </li></ul> <p>Process Improvement & Internal Controls</p> <ul> <li>Develop and enhance accounting policies and procedures </li><li>Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets </li><li>Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and reporting </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience required) </li><li>3-5 years of general accounting experience </li><li>1-2 years of cost accounting experience </li></ul> <p>Skills & Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of accounting systems and ERP environments </li><li>Advanced Excel and strong computer skills </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication </li><li>High attention to detail and confidentiality </li><li>Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Serves as a key cross-functional partner across departments </li><li>Leads through influence (no direct reports) </li><li>Facilitates collaboration with internal teams, auditors, vendors, and stakeholders </li></ul> <p>Why Join Easton?</p> <p>At Easton, you'll be part of a company with a legacy of innovation and quality.
