This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care, compliance with regulations, and professional development. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, a passion for teaching, and excellent communication skills.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Staff Training & Development: Design and deliver orientation programs, ongoing education, and competency assessments for nursing staff. Oversees nurse educators to ensure completion of required competencies and fulfillment of all assigned job duties. </li><li>Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that staff education aligns with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and best practices. </li><li>Clinical Guidance: Provide hands-on training and mentorship to enhance clinical skills, critical thinking, and patient care practices. </li><li>Quality Improvement: Collaborate with leadership to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based training programs. </li><li>Continuing Education: Keep staff updated on the latest healthcare practices, infection control protocols, and advancements in geriatric care. </li><li>Resident-Centered Care: Promote a culture of compassionate, person-centered care through education and role modeling. </li><li>Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of staff training, certifications, and performance evaluations. </li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with nursing leadership, interdisciplinary teams, and external educators to enhance staff development. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>RN or LPN license (active and in good standing) Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience in a long-term care or geriatric setting. Previous experience in staff education, training, or leadership is preferred. Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Working knowledge of regulatory standards.
