<ul> <li>Anchor and produce sportscast, which includes reporting on sporting events and games, including covering the action on the field or court and interviewing players, coaches, and other key figures. </li><li>Write articles, columns, and features on a wide range of sports-related topics, such as player profiles, team news, and analysis of games and trends for on-air and web. </li><li>Use social media and other digital platforms to provide up-to-the-minute coverage of sporting events and breaking news. </li><li>Report live and/or on tape as assigned. </li><li>Gather and verify information from a variety of sources, including official sources, coaches, players, and other experts. </li><li>Meet deadlines and work under pressure, often in fast-paced and demanding environments. </li><li>Travel to cover sporting events and games, sometimes on short notice or for extended periods of time. </li><li>Edit and proofread your own work and the work of others. </li><li>Collaborate with other journalists, photographers, and producers to create multimedia content. </li><li>Participate in editorial meetings and contribute to editorial planning and strategy. </li><li>Mentor junior staff and provide guidance and support to newer reporters. </li><li>Participate in public appearances and community events. </li><li>Maintain appropriate and strict standards regarding wardrobe, hair, cosmetics and grooming as directed by management. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field. </li><li>Proven experience as a sports reporter or multi-media journalist. </li><li>Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. </li><li>Proficiency in video production and editing software. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Professional, consistent, on-air appearance. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li><li>Strong understanding of ethical journalism standards and regulations. </li><li>Ability to maintain a strong online presence through regular updates on social media platforms. </li><li>Highly developed public-speaking and interpersonal skills. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving history as determined by the Company.
