The Private Client Tax Manager serves as a trusted advisor and member of various client service teams and must possess significant knowledge of taxation compliance and consulting related to personal, partnership, trust, estate, gift, and wealth retention strategies as well as charitable entities managed by ultra-high net worth clients. The Private Client Tax Manager participates in client development and team management and conducts research to be current as a subject matter expert.</p> <p>How you will contribute:</p> <ul> <li>Providing tax compliance and tax advisory services to individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, and private foundations </li><li>Developing, building, and managing client relationships as part of the proposal process </li><li>Participating in networking activities to further expand business opportunities and client relationships </li><li>As a highly impactful team member, maintaining functional expertise and understanding of a client's business or family structure is essential to addressing client concerns and challenges </li><li>Assisting with managing, developing, and coaching professional tax staff </li><li>Reviewing and managing projects prepared by tax associates and seniors </li><li>Effectively delegating responsibilities to others and monitoring efforts of engagement teams </li><li>Proficiently using technology tools in regular assignments and demonstrating a commitment to improving work processes through the use of technology </li><li>Successfully researching complex tax issues, applying findings to projects, and clearly communicating those findings in writing </li></ul> <p>We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:</p> <ul> <li>Dedication to client service </li><li>Excellent supervisory and time management skills </li><li>Exhibit effective communication and listening skills, enhancing problem-solving and communication for client, team, and operational performance </li><li>Built a community of external advisors with which to network </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>5 years or more of related experience in public accounting, law firm, or trust department </li><li>Bachelor or graduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field </li><li>CPA license or J.D. degree and bar admission </li><li>Experience managing multiple client engagements </li></ul> <p>#LI-ISELIN, #LI-LINY, #LI-NYC</p> <p>#LI-JB2</p> <p>New York City Pay Transparency</p> <p>Pursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances within the state including (but not limited to) New York City, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.</p> <p>New York Salary Range:</p> <p>NY Minimum Salary (USD)</p> <p>$ 90,200</p> <p>NY Maximum Salary (USD)</p> <p>$ 154,500</p> <p>New Jersey Wage Transparency</p> <p>Pursuant to New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the salary range displayed is for the New Jersey market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
