Become a part of the "strength within."</p> <p>Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Supervisor for our Pottsville, PA, USA location.</p> <p>The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Directly supervise hourly Quality Technicians. Train, plan, assign, and direct work in accordance with applicable policies and laws. Monitors area production schedule and productivity. Reviews production flow and schedules overtime across the Quality Techs to align with demands.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor the Quality Technician's schedule and ensure it aligns with production.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides off shift support for quality about shipping, receiving raw materials, sourcing and inspection.</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as a Source Inspector Authority and is a liaison between the quality department and the customer. Works with Quality Techs and supports Customer Source activities</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees the material receiving testing process to coordinate: The preparation of test specimens and ensure the acceptance testing is completed in a timely manner, ensure all certificate of conformance records are reviewed against PO's and specification listings for accuracy, inspection and test records are maintained as required, ensure all raw materials in the freezer are properly tagged and located in the correct bond room freezer. All material transfers are completed in the MRP system.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead the activities associated with root cause investigation and corrective action assignments.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the Quality Delegates Stamp Control Program is up-to-date, and all quality delegates are in good standing with the program requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the calibration program and ensure all instruments are calibrated, ensures annual inspection and repair of all lasers is completed timely.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate daily cross functionally on personnel issues, production and quality resolutions, equipment status, and manufacturing progress in meeting schedule. Ensure thorough pass downs with all stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide status of quality department while the Quality Manager is not available.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or Statistics, or related degree is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in production or quality or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Supervisory experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong leadership and can work effectively with engineering, production personnel, and management.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong problem solving, facilitation and communication skills (verbal and written). Able to develop audit report and write non-conforming records as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Good math and analytical skills including a working knowledge of statistical techniques (SPC, SQC, DOE).</p> </li><li> <p>Root cause investigation experience is required. Ability to analyze and resolve quality issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read drawings, interpret written procedures and instruction.</p> </li><li> <p>Internal audit experience is a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; ERP/MRP experience preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>Eligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
