<p>Instructional Coaches provide job-embedded, sustained professional learning in support of the district focus improvement strategies, with a particular emphasis on implementation of Ohio Learning Standards and collaboration that builds collective efficacy. This position is 0.5 FTE.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>State of Ohio Educator License (e.g. K-5, K-8, 4-9, K-12)</p> </li><li> <p>At least 3 years of successful teaching experience</p> </li><li> <p>Expertise in early literacy is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Proven track record of student achievement</p> </li><li> <p>Exemplary interpersonal skills</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational and strategic planning skills; ability to balance multiple priorities</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of how to use instruction to reach student achievement goals</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of educational theory and practices, including focus on standards-based instruction</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to identify and describe effective instructional practices (academic and behavioral) and provide feedback, coaching, and professional development to teachers to improve the quality of instruction throughout a school</p> </li><li> <p>Critical background knowledge:</p> </li><li> <p>Ohio Improvement Process (TBT, BLT)</p> </li><li> <p>Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS) structures and processes</p> </li><li> <p>Strategic reading practices, aligned with the science of reading</p> </li><li> <p>Shifts in standards, including 8 mathematical practices</p> </li><li> <p>Culturally responsive education</p> </li><li> <p>Design of classroom environments that enhance academic engagement and improve student behavior</p> </li></ul> <p>Worthington City Schools are committed to providing equal opportunity to all employees and applicants for employment in accordance with all applicable Equal Opportunity laws, directives and regulations of Federal, State and Local governing bodies or agencies.
