You will coordinate fruit receiving activities within the Michigan region, focusing on effective and efficient harvest scheduling. As part of the National Grape Co-operative team, you will support member records updates, member communications, data collection and management, and GIS mapping.</p> <p>Where You'll Work</p> <p>This role is on site at the National Grape Co-operative office in Berrien Springs, MI. You will travel throughout the Michigan growing region including Berrien and Van Buren County visiting grower-owners on their farms and attending industry events. This role requires approximately 50% local field travel, with increased travel during peak seasons, in addition to regular in-office responsibilities.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with grower/owners on topics like business performance, cooperative policies and procedures, viticultural programs, farm management, and member services. </li><li>Assist with timely and accurate member Marketing Agreement revisions, including GIS vineyard map revision and data entry into systems. Review & Final proof of agreement revisions before submitted to the General Office in Westfield. </li><li>Generates general communications (i.e. mass texts, mass emails, phone calls) that provide timely updates and information to the grower-owners and harvesters in the region </li><li>Build effective working relationships with grower/owners by providing assistance through phone calls and in office visits on member records, sustainability, crop records/data, crop estimates, etc. </li><li>Assist the viticulture team in crop estimation data collection and forecasting activities in the region. </li><li>As part of National's Harvest Team, assist with pre-harvest planning, sugar solids sampling, and supervise fruit receiving-managing grape intake, inspections, Scalehouse staff, and scheduling. Conduct field visits to monitor harvest progress, ensure compliance, and support growers and harvesters. </li><li>Understand and enforce National policies and procedures to answer grower and member questions. </li><li>Build effective working relationships with grower-owners and industry stakeholders. </li></ul> <p> </p> <p>Who You Are:</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and concise messaging </li><li>Expertise in designing, editing, and delivering general business, and technical content. </li><li>Comfortable presenting to groups (small and large) and working one-on-one. </li><li>Continuous improvement mindset with desire to improve professional skills and business activities. </li><li>Self-motivated and results-driven with strong leadership abilities, demonstrating the capacity to lead both independently and within a team </li><li>Working knowledge of agronomic/viticultural principles and practices. This range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Welch's good faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
