To support this philosophy and objective, the Human Resource Department provides a process to allow for a comprehensive search of candidates, inclusive of internal and external applicants.</p> <p>SUMMARY STATEMENT</p> <p>The Audio-Visual Support Technician provides setup and support of all instructional technology on campus and satellite locations. The technician works with faculty and other audio-visual staff to meet immediate instructional needs. The position will require flexible working hours including evenings and weekends.</p> <p>ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS</p> <p>A. The Audio-Visual Support Technician reports directly and is responsible to the Audio-Visual Manager.</p> <p>B. Works with faculty, WSCE instructors, other college staff, outside agencies, and groups using instructional equipment.</p> <p>C. This position shares the responsibility of any LT student workers on duty during the same hours.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES</p> <p>A. Respond to faculty and staff calls and e-mails for assistance with instructional equipment: main campus, satellite locations, and remotely.</p> <p>B. Sets up and takes down equipment according to the department schedule.</p> <p>C. Assists with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instructional equipment including Extron programming configuration software.</p> <p>D. Enter data into the department inventory database.</p> <p>E. Provide technology training on classroom equipment and instructional software.</p> <p>F. Provide technical support for specific events.</p> <p>G. Videotaping and editing of classroom demonstrations and special events on campus.</p> <p>H. Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <p>An associate degree is required; two years experience in operation and troubleshooting of classroom equipment. Must have experience working with Zoom, Microsoft Office 365 suite, Adobe Premiere and screen capturing software. Preference is given to applicants with Extron configuration software experience.</p> <p>SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <p>Good organization skills; ability to operate and troubleshoot technical equipment used in audio-visual settings; competence in the use of computers and standard educational software; ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of staff and students; ability to handle stressful situations; ability to prioritize and handle multiple competing demands. Ability to work under pressure is required in order for classes and special events to run smoothly.</p> <p>WORKING ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>A. This is a high stress position involving constant interaction with the faculty, staff, students, and others regarding classroom technology. Combination of working in the office and working campus-wide with frequent job-related interruptions. Some heavy lifting during transporting and placement of equipment and occasional eyestrain from substantial computer usage.</p> <p>B. Must be available to work a flexible schedule. Evening and some weekend hours required. Work schedule will be set according to department needs and variations in the academic year, though efforts will be made to ensure regularity.</p> <p>C. Valid driver's license is required.</p>
